MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - Aircraft of the U.S.-led coalition continue to create dangerous situations in the Syrian airspace, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit said.
"Five violations of the deconfliction protocols dated December 9, 2019, by flights of the coalition's unmanned aerial vehicles uncoordinated with the Russian side were observed over the day," Kulit said at a press briefing on Thursday.
Four violations of the Syrian airspace by a pair of F-16 fighter jets and a pair of A-10 Thunderbolt attack planes were recorded in the al-Tanf area, he said.
Additionally, Kulit reported two attacks on Syrian government forces' positions by the Jabhat al-Nusra and Turkistan Islamic Party terrorist groups (both banned in Russia) in the Idlib province within the Idlib de-escalation area.
"An additional post of the Russian military police was deployed in the Golan Heights area while monitoring the Bravo line in the zone of disengagement of the armed forces of Israel and the Syrian Arab Republic," Kulit said.
