BELGOROD. March 15 (Interfax) - Belgorod regional Health Minister Andrei Ikonnikov has reported the condition of local residents who suffered injuries from the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attacks over the past two days.
Nine of the 23 people who were injured in Belgorod and Graivoron on March 14 remain at the hospital, Ikonnikov told journalists.
"Nine people are receiving inpatient treatment, including six at City Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod and three others at the regional hospital. Seven of them, who are in serious condition, [...] and the others who have injuries of moderate severity are in hospital wards, and all the necessary medical aid is being provided to them," he said.
Two children who were hospitalized on Thursday with wounds after the village of Belovskoye in the Belgorod region was shelled were discharged from hospital in fair condition on Friday in order to continue receiving outpatient treatment, he said.
Eight other people were injured on March 15.
"Three people have been admitted to hospitals, including two to the regional hospital and one to Hospital No. 2. All of them are in serious condition," he said.
Belgorod region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said earlier that a nine-year old boy and his nine-month old sister were wounded in the attack on Belovskoye on March 14 and were later hospitalized at the trauma ward of the children's regional clinical hospital.
As also reported earlier, four Belgorod residents were killed in the attacks on March 14 and 15.
Since March 12, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched multiple artillery and drone attacks on the city of Belgorod and other communities in the region. A number of local civilians have been killed and injured.
