New generation of Western specialists on Russia to act more sophisticatedly, not to change their goals - Putin

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - A new generation of Western representatives who try to destabilize Russia's domestic system will act more sophisticatedly than their predecessors, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"After the collapse of the Soviet Union, there remained a large of specialists on the Soviet Union who did not know anything but fighting against the Soviet Union and Russia that emerged on a part of its territory. They started to persuade their political leadership and public that Russia needs to be further smitten," Putin told journalists.

"A new generation of specialists is coming. They assess the events realistically. I think they will act more sophisticatedly. But they will not change the goal regarding Russia," he said.

Putin was asked if foreign forces that strived to destabilize Russia's domestic political system will learn a lesson from Russia's presidential elections results.
