Kyrgyz president congratulates Putin on winning presidential election in Russia

BISHKEK. March 18 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov congratulated Vladimir Putin on his reelection as Russian president during a phone call, the Kyrgyz leader's press service said on Monday.

"Sadyr Japarov congratulated Vladimir Putin on his landslide victory in the recent presidential election, noting that this serves as vivid evidence of high recognition and support by the Russian people of his wise policy and selfless work to strengthen state sovereignty, raise the wellbeing of the population and to implement the Russian state's self-sufficient, independent and transparent foreign policy," the press service said.

"The c leaders discussed key issues of Kyrgyz-Russian bilateral and multilateral cooperation, interaction between the countries within integration associations, as well as the anniversary meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council due to take place in Moscow in May of this year, which Sadyr Japarov will also attend," it said.
