MINSK. March 21 (Interfax) - Some 5,000 reservists have been called up for a combat readiness check of the Belarusian Armed Forces, the Defense Ministry said.
"Some 5,000 reservists have come to take part in the check," the statement said.
The comprehensive combat readiness check of Belarusian army units began on March 18. The reservists will deploy to designated areas and hold a number of exercises, including with combat firing.
They will "learn the foundations of tactical, engineering, fire, and military medicine training under the command of servicemen trained in Russia." They will then undergo cohesion process in units, platoons and companies.
