Nigerien leader offers condolences to Putin over multiple casualties of Crocus attack - Kremlin

MOSCOW. March 26 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken by phone with Abdourahamane Tchiani, the president of the Nigerien National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland (CNSP) who expressed solidarity with the people of Russia and extended deep condolences over the casualties of the Crocus City Hall attack, the Kremlin press service said on Tuesday.

"While discussing the bilateral agenda, the sides expressed the aspiration to intensify the political dialogue and develop mutually advantageous cooperation in various areas," it said.

"Views were exchanged on the situation in the Sahara-Sahel region with an emphasis on coordinated efforts in ensuring security and the fight against terrorism," it said.
