Eight buildings damaged in attacks on Russia's Belgorod region on April 4 - governor

BELGOROD. April 5 (Interfax) - Five houses have been damaged in Russia's Belgorod region by attacks from Ukraine in the past 24 hours, the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

"Two private houses and an administrative building were damaged in the rural settlement of Tavrovo. Damage was done to two private houses in Dubovskoye, a utility building in Nikolskoye, two cars in Razumnoye, and a private house in the rural settlement of Golovinskoye," Gladkov said on Telegram on Friday.

Nineteen artillery shells were fired at the village of Zhuravlyovka, in addition to two at Malinovka, he said. Two suicide drones attacked Petrovka.

There were no casualties or damage there, Gladkov said.

The village of Vyazovoye in the Krasnaya Yaruga district was hit six times, he said.

"There were no casualties. According to preliminary information, three private houses and utility buildings sustained damage of various degrees. Windows were shattered in a school, a kindergarten and a cultural center. Damage was done to a power transmission line and a gas pipeline," Gladkov said.

Six FPV drones attacked the village of Voznesenovka in the Shebekino urban district. No one was hurt.

"Insignificant damage was caused to the roof and exterior of a commercial building, and a truck was hit. Forty-two grenade launcher rounds were fired at Krasnoye. There were no casualties. An agricultural building was damaged," Gladkov said.

The shelling of the Graivoron urban district is ongoing. No casualties were reported in the district over the past day. Balcony windows were shattered in an apartment in Graivoron. A car and a power transmission line was damaged in the village of Dronovka.

Ukrainian drones attacked another three districts of the region, Gladkov said.

"The enemy attacked the outskirts of the village of Tsapovka in the Borisovka district with a drone carrying explosives. No damage was done. The drone was grounded by engineering systems and destroyed by specialists of the Russian Defense Ministry," he said.

The village of Novpetrovka in the Valuiky district was attacked by a Ukrainian suicide drone, which detonated. There were no casualties or damage. A fixed-wing drone crashed without detonating in the village of Nasonovo. No damage was done. The drone was seized by specialists of the Russian Defense Ministry.

Drone fragments were found and seized by specialists near the village of Livenka in the Krasnogvardeisky district. There were no casualties or damage, Gladkov said.
