Debris from downed drone falls on ZNPP's power unit roof - plant reps

ROSTOV-ON-DON. April 8 (Interfax) - The debris from a downed Ukrainian drone has fallen on the roof of a power unit of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), representatives of the plant said on Monday.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces' attempts to shell the Zaporozhye NPP are continuing. Today a kamikaze drone was downed over the plant. It fell on the roof of the sixth power unit," a statement on the ZNPP's Telegram channel said.

Representatives of the plant noted that no threats of a breach in safety limits have been recorded.

On Sunday, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the ZNPP twice. In the afternoon, a strike was carried out in the area of the canteen (Rosatom said three ZNPP employees were injured, one of them seriously) and near the cargo port, while closer to the evening an attack on the dome of the sixth power unit was reported.

The current drone attack is the fourth on the plant's grounds since early April. The first one was recorded on April 5, when drones attacked the area of the cargo port and the nitrogen and oxygen unit.
