VILNIUS. April 8 (Interfax/BNS) - Two pretrial investigations have been launched in Vilnius into actions against the Russian embassy to Lithuania.
Unknown individuals tossed bottles with incendiary liquid into the Russian embassy grounds in Vilnius on the nights of April 7 and April 8 each, the BNS agency said on Monday with reference to the Lithuanian Police Department. An embassy wall was damaged. The damage is being assessed.
"Intensive procedures are underway," spokesperson for the Lithuanian prosecution service Gintare Vitkauskaite-Salkauskiene told BNS.
The police have not said whether the two incidents were connected but promised to provide additional information on Monday afternoon.
