Drone that fell on roof of power unit at Zaporozhye NPP disarmed

ROSTOV-ON-DON. April 8 (Interfax) - Specialists have disarmed a downed Ukrainian drone that fell on the roof of a power unit of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), plant representatives said on Monday.

"The drone that fell on the roof of the machine hall of Power Unit 6 was

disarmed, the shell did not detonate. The equipment and roof of the machine hall of the power unit were not damaged," the NPP said on its Telegram channel.

The plant is not designed for hostilities on its territory or near it, the statement says. "Such impact on the nuclear power plant may lead to catastrophic consequences," the plant representatives said.

A Ukrainian drone was downed over the ZNPP territory earlier on Monday. Its debris fell on the roof of Power Unit 6. This is the fourth attack on the territory of the plant since the start of April.
