BEIJING. April 9 (Interfax) - China will support Russia's sustainable development under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at negotiations with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
On behalf of China, he again congratulated Russians on reelecting Putin for president "with a record level of support."
"As a friendly neighbor and comprehensive strategic partner of Russia, we will strongly support the sustainable development and revival of Russia under the leadership of President Putin," Wang said.
Moscow and Beijing will continue to bolster strategic interaction on the world stage, he said.
"As part of Russia's BRICS presidency and China's SCO presidency in the second half of this year, we will strongly support each other and expand our multifaceted cooperation," Wang said.
