Peskov: New geopolitical realities should be taken into account to end Ukraine conflict

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - New geopolitical realities, the four new regions of Russia, must be taken into account when settling the Ukraine situation, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"The geopolitical realities have completely changed in Ukraine and in Russia. Russia has grown bigger and has acquired four new regions. This must be kept in mind by everyone," Peskov said.

Journalists asked Peskov on Wednesday to comment on a statement by the UN secretary general's spokesman Stephane Dujarric, who called for ending the conflict in Ukraine on the principle of territorial integrity. He was responding to reports that former U.S. President Donald Trump would insist on territorial concessions by Kiev in the event of his reelection.
