Difficulties in Russian-Armenian relations to be settled through summit dialogue - Peskov

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - The leaders of Russia and Armenia will have a chance to discuss the issues and problems arising in their bilateral relations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"We expect any difficulties in our bilateral relations which have emerged lately to be settled through this dialogue [between the two leaders], in particular," Peskov said when commenting on a recent statement by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who said that Armenia "had done nothing wrong" in its relations with Russia but "such cases are numerous on the other side".

Hopefully, "the leaders will have a chance to discuss such issues in person in the foreseeable future, if these issues are on the agenda," Peskov said.

"You know that Armenia is our close partner, our ally, a country that shares many integration formats with us, such as the CIS, the EAEU, and others. Of course, there are also historical bilateral relations, humanitarian relations, the significance of which is hard to overestimate," he said.

Moreover, there is a working dialogue, which is also very important, Peskov said.
