Russian Defense Ministry reports destroying Ukrainian base with 32 D-20 howitzers, 2 drone workshops, 172 drones

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - Russian forces have struck a Ukrainian base with 32 D-20 howitzers, two drone workshops, and a facility preparing naval drones for launch, and have downed 172 Ukrainian drones in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"Tactical aircraft, missile forces and artillery of the Russian groups of forces have destroyed a base storing weapons and ammunition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including 32 D-20 152mm howitzers, two drone workshops, and a facility preparing naval drones for launch," the ministry said.

Ukrainian troops and hardware were hit in 128 areas, it said.

"Air defense downed 172 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, three French-made Hammer guided bombs, and two HIMARS and Uragan rockets over the day," the ministry said.
