Russian Aerospace Forces destroy militants' base in Syria - reconciliation center

MOSCOW. April 15 (Interfax) - Russian military has destroyed a militant base in Syria's Homs province, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Maj. Gen. Yury Popov said.

"The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed a base of militants who migrated from the al-Tanf area to hard-to-reach parts of the el-Amor Ridge in the Homs province," Popov said on Sunday night.

The U.S.-led coalition breached Syrian airspace, he said. "Five violations of the deconfliction protocols dated December 9, 2019, by flights of the coalition's unmanned aerial vehicles uncoordinated with the Russian side have been observed over the day," Popov said.
