MOSCOW. April 22 (Interfax) - The Second Western Military Court has sentenced U.S. citizen Andy Stone, spokesman of the Meta Corporation (listed as an extremist organization and banned in Russia), in absentia to six years in a general penitentiary on counts of justifying terrorism, an Interfax correspondent reported.
"To sentence Stone to six years in a general penitentiary," Judge Roman Kiforenko said.
Stone will begin serving his sentence the moment he is detained in Russia or is extradited to Russia.
He was convicted of justifying terrorism.
