MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - A Ukrainian drone strike has sparked fire at civilian fuel and energy facilities in the Smolensk and Yartsevo districts of the Russian Smolensk region, the region's governor Vasily Anokhin said.
"Our region has come under attack by Ukrainian drones again. The Russian Armed Forces' air defense is fighting the airborne targets. Presumably, the enemy's attack on civilian fuel and energy facilities has sparked fire in the Smolensk and Yartsevo districts," Anokhin said on Telegram on Wednesday.
Personnel of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry is working at the scene, he said.
