TBILISI. May 13 (Interfax) - Brussels will not start negotiations with Georgia on its European Union membership at the end of the year if the Georgian parliament passes the legislation on the transparency of foreign influence, MP Khatia Dekanoidze said following a meeting between Georgian opposition leaders and the heads of the parliamentary affairs committees from Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia, who are visiting Tbilisi.
"We were told unambiguously at the meeting that negotiations with Georgia won't be opened if the foreign agent law is adopted. They also said the legitimacy of the upcoming parliamentary elections in October will be questioned," Dekanoidze told journalists.
