Russian ships hold artillery drill in Arctic

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - The Naryan-Mar and Onega anti-submarine corvettes held an artillery drill in the Barents Sea on Monday, the Russian Northern Fleet's press service said.

"Artillery crews of the anti-submarine corvettes hit coastal targets and floating mine mockups off the Rybachy Peninsula," the press service said.

It was a scheduled exercise, it said.

"Anti-submarine ships of the Northern Fleet's Belomorsk Naval Base will continue to master naval skills and hold a series of scheduled exercises, including ones related to their main task, in the Barents Sea," it said.
