State Duma approves Manturov, in charge of industry, as Russian first deputy PM

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - The State Duma approved Denis Manturov for the post of Russian first deputy prime minister on Monday. He was deputy prime minister and industry and trade minister in the previous government.

Andrei Belousov, who was previously first deputy prime minister, has been nominated by Russian President Vladimir Putin for the post of defense minister.

Manturov will remain in charge of industry issues in his new position.
