Nikolai Patrushev thanks Russian Security Council personnel for years of joint work

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Nikolai Patrushev thanked the personnel of the Russian Security Council administration for joint work and said it has worked effectively throughout the years to ensure national security, the Security Council said on Monday.

"The meeting took place in the Security Council's situation center," it said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Sergei Shoigu secretary of the Security Council. Nikolai Patrushev, who previously held this post, is moving to a new position, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said earlier.
