MOSCOW. May 14 (Interfax) - The staffing of the Russian Armed Forces and the recruitment of contract servicemen are an important task, while there are no mobilization plans, nominee for defense minister Andrei Belousov said.
"As for the staffing of the Armed Forces, I would like to emphasize this specially for journalists, this is not a matter of mobilization, some kind of extraordinary measures, this is a matter of planned measures. Nevertheless, the process has begun, both the recruitment of citizens and, most importantly, contract servicemen," Belousov said at the Federation Council on Tuesday.
This is a systemic issue, he said.
