MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested discussing the situation on the contact line in Ukraine at a meeting with the commanders of military districts' forces.
"As agreed, I asked Sergei Kuzhugetovich [Shoigu] and Valery Vasilyevich [Gerasimov] to organize our meeting in such a way that we can also talk about the current situation on the contact line. We do this on a daily basis with the Defense Ministry leadership and with the General Staff head, but I would like to hear you speak, too," Putin said on Wednesday.
Putin said he understands overall what is happening and how it is taking place.
"But listening to it from reports made by the General Staff head and the minister is one thing, and talking to you directly is a different thing. I don't meet with you often, but our meetings generally occur regularly, and it seems to me that it's time to talk about it in more detail regarding every sector of the combat operations," Putin said.
