HARBIN. May 17 (Interfax) - French President Emmanuel Macron should first say whether French troops will be sent to Ukraine before one can speak about the consequences of this step, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"You first need to receive his answer to the question as to whether troops will be sent [to Ukraine], and then we will look at the possible consequences of this step," Putin said when asked whether the potential deployment of regular French troops to Ukraine could lead to a direct armed conflict between Russia and France.
