Lugansk comes under Ukrainian attack twice overnight - official

ROSTOV-ON-DON. May 28 (Interfax) - Lugansk was attacked once again overnight into Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik said, citing eyewitnesses.

"Residents reported two more strikes on the same district of Lugansk," Miroshnik said on his Telegram channel.

The repeat attack may have targeted the place where rescuers are dealing with the aftermath of a Ukrainian missile strike on Monday evening, he said.

In the evening on May 27, head of the Lugansk People's Republic Leonid Pasechnik reported a Ukrainian missile strike on Lugansk using cluster munitions. A fire broke out at the site, he said.
