BRUSSELS. May 28 (Interfax) - Belgium will supply several F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine before the end of 2024, Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib told the RTL broadcaster on Tuesday.
"The planes should arrive in Ukraine before the end of this year," Lahbib said without specifying their number.
Belgium stands ready to provide a total of 30 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine before 2028, she said.
Belgium joined the so-called F-16 coalition in May. Its participation initially involved only training and logistics support, but the government then decided to supply these planes themselves as it plans to replace them with F-35s.
