ASTANA. May 28 (Interfax) - The defense ministers of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will meet in Almaty in late May, the Kazakh Defense Ministry said.
"The defense ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states plan to meet on May 30-31," the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
The meeting is to be part of Kazakhstan's presidency of the CSTO, it said.
The participants intend to discuss challenges and threats to military security in the CSTO collective security areas and aspects of the development of the organization's military component, it said.
The CSTO members are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
