EU has no consensus on whether it should train Ukrainian military in Ukraine - Borrell

BRUSSELS. May 28 (Interfax) - There is no unanimity among the European Union countries as to whether they should send instructors to Ukraine to train its military there, EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell said.

"There is no consensus," Borrell told a press conference in Brussels on Tuesday.

The situation could change in the future, he said. "But things change," Borrell said.

The EU runs several programs for training the Ukrainian military but this process currently takes place outside Ukraine.
