Poland to create buffer zone at border with Belarus

MINSK. May 29 (Interfax) - Poland will create a buffer zone at the border with Belarus, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Wednesday.

"The Border Guard has recommended that the government restore a buffer zone with an approximate width of 200 meters as soon as possible, as this is necessary for effective border management," the PAP news agency quoted Tusk as saying.

"Together with the defense and interior ministers, the government will make a related decision early next week," he said.
