U.S. still not encouraging Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory - Blinken

WASHINGTON. May 29 (Interfax) - The United States is still not encouraging Ukraine in things that concern strikes on the territory of Russia, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday.

"We haven't encouraged or enabled strikes outside of Ukraine," he told a press conference in Chisinau.

Blinken again said the Ukrainian command is making independent decisions on how to conduct military action.

At the same time, Blinken said the U.S. has to adapt to the changing reality of the conflict while providing further support to Kiev.

The U.S. media earlier reported that Blinken is a U.S. administration official who supports the most actively the lifting of the ban on the use of the U.S. weapons supplied to Kiev for strikes on Russia.
