TBILISI. May 30 (Interfax) - The participation of several foreign ministers in an opposition rally in Tbilisi without their governments' knowledge shows a lack of seriousness, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said.
"Whenever a foreign minister takes part in an opposition rally in Tbilisi without the knowledge of their government, it proves the structure lacks seriousness, but of course, that is their business," Kobakhidze told reporters commenting on the participation of the Lithuanian, Estonian, and Icelandic foreign ministers in an opposition rally in Tbilisi in May.
He also commented on foreign politicians' comparison of the Maidan coup in Ukraine with the events in Tbilisi of recent weeks.
"I would like to tell everyone, you won't live to see a Maidan coup in Georgia," Kobakhidze said.
He reminded reporters about the consequences of the Maidan coup for Ukraine.
"After the Maidan coup, the Ukrainian authorities have actually been appointed from abroad twice. In the end, those who appointed the authorities bore no responsibility for subsequent events. Before 2013, Ukraine was a state with territorial integrity and a $200-billion economy. Now Ukraine has collapsed, and no one is taking responsibility for that either," Kobakhidze said.
The Georgian authorities assumed responsibility for national development, he said.
