Russian presidential press secretary Peskov notes rapid growth of Russian economy

MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - The Kremlin agrees with the rating of the World Bank, which has ranked Russia fourth in purchasing power parity, noting the Russian economy's positive growth rates.

"Undoubtedly, our economy's growth rates are very positive, it is developing rapidly. The government [and] its economic block are doing very serious work," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"Certain economic challenges in both the macro- and microeconomic perspective exist, but the search for ways to minimize all risks is underway," he said.

"But overall, of course the economy is growing, and these are positive developments," he said.
