MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - Russia has added several British citizens, including politicians, experts and journalists, to its sanctions list, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
"The provocative anti-Russian rhetoric of British officials and the practical steps taken by London to further the militarily development of Ukraine are indicative of the British leadership's relentless determination to continue the harsh systemic confrontation with our country," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.
"In response to the British side's hostile actions, it has been decided to place a number of people representing Britain's political establishment, press corps and expert community on Russia's stop list," it said.
"Moscow calls on London to stop giving military support to Ukraine," it said.
The statement published on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website contains no exact number of Britons added to Russia's stop list.
