YEREVAN. June 4 (Interfax) - Armenia is currently maintaining a "very healthy" dialogue with Turkey, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.
"There's a very healthy, really a very healthy dialogue, as well as agreements, the key of which, unfortunately, have still not been put into practice," Mirzoyan said at the parliament on Tuesday.
Yerevan looks forward to the implementation of the agreements with Ankara, he said.
"We stand ready to continue this very healthy and good dialogue," Mirzoyan said.
Armenia and Turkey have no diplomatic relations, and their joint border has been closed since 1993 at Ankara's initiative over the conflict in Karabakh. The first meeting between an Armenian and a Turkish representative on the normalization process between the two countries took place in Moscow on January 14, 2022. The Armenian and Turkish special representatives for the normalization of bilateral relations, Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kilic, agreed at a meeting in Vienna on July 1, 2022 to ensure that third-country citizens are allowed to cross the Armenian-Turkish land border and to launch direct cargo flights between the two countries as early as possible.
