Russia to continue conducting military exercises jointly with China - Putin

ST. PETERSBURG. June 5 (Interfax) - Russia will continue joint military exercises with China, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the heads of the leading international news agencies.

"Our interaction on the international stage [with China] is a deterring factor and an element of stability," Putin said.

"Apart from economy and ensuring our mutual security, as you know, we conduct [joint] exercises and will do so in the future, including military exercises," he said.

"We have work underway in the sphere of military-technical interaction, and in this regard, we have something to offer to our Chinese friends," Putin said.
