Injury toll from Ukraine's missile strike on Lugansk soars to 53, 4 killed

ROSTOV-ON-DON. June 7 (Interfax) - The number of people injured in a Ukrainian army missile strike on Lugansk on Friday has risen to 53, the government of the Lugansk people's republic (LPR) said, citing LPR Health Minister Natalia Pashchenko.

"The total number of people injured as a result of today's missile strike on Lugansk has increased to 57. Four of them have died," a statement on the LPR government's Telegram channel said.

Forty civilians are in hospital with various injuries, "including two minors being treated as inpatients," the statement said.

Earlier Pashchenko said on Telegram that 50 people had been injured, four of them fatally. Forty-six people, including four children, are in city hospitals.
