MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu has met with Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin to discuss security issues, the Russian Security Council's press service said on Monday.
"The parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning Russian-Serbian cooperation in security. Individual attention was given to countering Western countries' interference in sovereign states' internal affairs, as well as to cooperation between law enforcement agencies and in the field of information security," the press service said.
Shoigu also congratulated Vulin on his appointment as Serbian deputy prime minister, it said.
"We value the relations that exist between our countries and our peoples. We appreciate Belgrade's strong commitment to developing Russian-Serbian cooperation despite the unprecedented pressure from the West," the press service quoted Shoigu as saying at the meeting.
