MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - Russian Tupolev Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 long-range bombers escorted by fighter jets have conducted flights over the neutral waters of the Baltic, Barents and Norwegian seas, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The event involved Tu-95MS strategic bombers and Tu-22M3 long-range bombers. The longest flight lasted more than six hours," the ministry said.
Sukhoi Su-30SM, Su-27 and Su-33 fighter jets of the Russian Aerospace Forces and naval aviation escorted the bombers during the flights, it said.
