MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - Russia's Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and Health Minister Mikhail Murashko have discussed medical support for participants in the special military operation, the Defense Ministry said.
"The meeting focused on the provision of medical assistance for special military operation participants and the rehabilitation and prosthetic services for the military," the ministry said on Monday.
Belousov emphasized the importance of liaising between the military and civilian segments in the general healthcare system, it said.
"I want to stress that the system of providing assistance for participants in the special military operation must be universal. Servicemen have additional obligations involving deadly risk, sustain wounds and injuries. It is necessary to build a system of relationships between agencies to ensure the task of providing proper treatment for the military is carried out most efficiently," Belousov said.
The meeting was attended by Mikhail Kuznetsov, head of the central executive committee at All-Russia People's Front, and Alla Bochkovskaya, head of rehabilitation and prosthetic services at Svoikh Ne Brosayem (We Don't Abandon Our Own People), a foundation which helps disabled and veteran servicemen, the report said.
