MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a brief meeting with Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu on the sidelines of a meeting of BRICS foreign ministers in Nizhny Novgorod on Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"The ministers discussed the development of the Russia-Kazakhstan strategic partnership and alliance and pressing topics of regional and international security. They checked the schedule of upcoming events at the highest and high levels," the statement said.
The conversation was "held in the traditionally friendly atmosphere intrinsic to the Russian-Kazakhstani dialogue," it said.
