MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has said it would be right to preserve the Astana format for Syrian settlement.
"We together have played a very significant role in settling the Syrian crisis. I believe it would be right to continue the Astana format, to fight terrorism, to do the best we can for the situation to come back to normal on this track that is very important to us," Putin said at his meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
