MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - The United Kingdom has updated the Russia segment of its sanctions list following similar steps taken by the United States.
Specifically, the UK imposed sanctions on Ingosstrakh, one of Russia's largest insurers, which was not targeted by sanctions in key western jurisdictions until now.
The UK also introduced sanctions against entrepreneur Ivan Tavrin, Insight Investment Group founder Avet Mirakyan, and S8 Capital owner Armen Sarkisyan, whose companies actively acquired assets during foreign players' exit from the Russian market.
Technology company Astra Group co-owner Denis Frolov and Yakub Zakriyev (on the U.S. SDN List since November 2023), head of the Russian-based Danone assets following their transfer to state management, were also sanctioned.
