Canada begins supplying armored vehicles to Ukraine

WASHINGTON. June 13 (Interfax) - The first four armored vehicles made by Canada for Kiev will be supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair said.

"The first four of 50 new armored vehicles [...] are heading to Ukraine's Armed Forces," he said on a social network.

Ukrainian servicemen will be trained to use them this summer, Blair said.

In the meantime, according to a report published on the site of the Canadian Department of National Defense, the first four of the 50 armored vehicles promised to Ukraine are heading to Europe, where Ukrainian servicemen will be trained to use them in summer.

The first ten armored vehicles are medical vehicles, the report said.

These first ten vehicles will be supplied to Ukraine by fall, the report said.
