Belousov, Dyumin discuss better coordination between regions, business, Russian Defense Ministry in drone supplies

MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and Russian Presidential Aide Alexei Dyumin have discussed interaction with Russian regions in drone supplies to military units, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Dyumin noted the need for more effective interaction and coordination between Russian constituent territories and regional businesses with the Defense Ministry in the development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles, radio-electronic and reconnaissance systems, and other high-tech goods," the ministry said.

In turn, Belousov noted "the need for streamlining and coordinating the delivery of particular equipment, especially electronic countermeasure and reconnaissance systems, to the frontline," it said.

"The Russian defense minister called for giving close attention to the proposed interaction mechanisms and using them to organize assistance to forces. He believes this can help avoid the excessive variety of equipment at the front and will raise the efficiency of hardware provided by regions," the ministry said.
