MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - Europe needs to have good relations with Russia if it wants to remain one of the independent centers of global development, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"If Europe wants to remain one of the independent centers of global development and a cultural and civilizational pole of the planet, it needs to have good, friendly relations with Russia," Putin said during a meeting with the Russian Foreign Ministry's leadership.
"We are ready for this," he said.
