ROME. June 14 (Interfax) - The leaders of the Group of Seven countries have pledged to make sure that Russia pays compensation to Ukraine, as seen from the final statement adopted at the G7 summit in Italy.
Russia must put an end to the fighting and pay compensation for damage caused to Ukraine, which the World Bank currently estimates at over $486 billion, the G7 nations said in the statement, excerpts from which the Italian news agency ANSA reported on Friday.
The G7 countries will study whether there are legal ways to make Russia pay this compensation, it says.
