Putin: We need no preventive nuclear strike in our doctrine, we capable of destroying enemy in response strike

HANOI. June 20 (Interfax) - There is no need for a preventive nuclear strike in Russia's nuclear doctrine since a response strike is going to destroy the adversary, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"We need no preventive strike at this point, because the adversary will surely be destroyed in a response counterstrike," Putin said when asked whether the principle of preventive nuclear strike is needed in Russia's nuclear doctrine.
