MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his sincere gratitude to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Secretary General of the Vietnamese Communist Party Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong, and Vietnamese President To Lam for the wonderful welcome and warm hospitality the Russian delegation enjoyed during visits to North Korea and Vietnam.
"The state visit had a special significance: it brought Moscow-Pyongyang relations to an unprecedentedly high level of comprehensive strategic partnership. New horizons have opened for fruitful cooperation between our countries in a great variety of areas," the Kremlin website quoted Putin as saying
Addressing Kim, Putin said, "I will be glad to continue our constructive dialogue and close joint work. Please remember that you will always be a welcome, dear guest in Russia."
Speaking of the visit to Vietnam, Putin said, "The negotiations were truly constructive and effective."
"I am confident that the implementation of bilateral agreements will promote further strengthening of the relations of comprehensive strategic partnership between Moscow and Hanoi. I am hoping to continue our active joint work on current items on the bilateral and international agendas," Putin said.
