MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has no worries that, in the wake of the latest events in Dagestan, Russia could experience a situation similar to that of the early 2000s, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"No. Russia is different now. Society is absolutely consolidated. And such criminal terrorist manifestations as yesterday's aren't supported by society. Neither in Russia [in general], nor in Dagestan [in particular]," Peskov said, when asked by journalists on Monday whether the Kremlin had any worries that, in the wake of the events in Dagestan, Russia could return to the situation of the early 2000s.
