Emergency declared in Russia's Voronezh region after Ukrainian attack

VORONEZH. June 25 (Interfax) - An emergency has been declared in the Olkhovatka district of Russia's Voronezh region in the wake of last night's Ukrainian attack, the region's governor Alexander Gusev said.

"We have declared an emergency in the Olkhovatka district for the soonest possible cleanup of the detonation's aftermath. The situation is under control. Emergency services, troops and officials are working at the scene. [...] None of district's residents were hurt. The population was informed about safety measures by loudspeakers, on social networks, and in door-to-door checks," Gusev said on Telegram on Tuesday.

The operation of kindergartens and summer camps has been adjusted to ensure the safety of the civilian population, he said.

Gusev said earlier that two municipalities of the Voronezh region were attacked from Ukraine last night, but there were no casualties.
